Important Pre-Treatment Checklist
To ensure a safe and successful aesthetic injectable treatment, please review the checklist below before your appointment. If you have any concerns or do not meet any of the following criteria, we recommend contacting the clinic in advance to discuss further.
Eligibility for Treatment
For your safety, you will not be treated on the day if any of the following apply:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are unwell, including symptoms of cold or flu
- You have uncontrolled hay fever – please reschedule if symptoms are active
- You are currently experiencing any infection, including:
- Urinary
- Sinus
- Respiratory
- Gastrointestinal
- Dental
- Skin infections
- You have recently completed a course of antibiotics – please wait at least one month post-treatment
- You are planning to travel within one month of a dermal filler treatment
- You have an important event coming up where bruising is not acceptable – ideally allow 2–4 weeks after treatment.
- For weddings or special events, please consult your practitioner for tailored advice.
Pre-Treatment Recommendations
To help reduce side effects and promote the best results, please take the following precautions:
- Avoid herbal supplements that may increase bruising risk for 7 days prior, unless medically necessary. These include:
- Fish oil
- Garlic capsules
- Ginkgo biloba
- Ginseng
- Glucosamine
- Ginger
- Turmeric
- Arrive with a clean face – all makeup will be removed before treatment
- Avoid any laser, radiofrequency, or ultrasound treatments to the treatment area for 2–4 weeks prior (depending on individual downtime)
- Leave at least 2–4 weeks between any previous injectable treatments and your upcoming appointment
